I am Jerry Saleeby, the instructor for this class. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BA in Political Science. I completed graduate work at the University of Richmond and Hollins University. I am in my 35th year of teaching government at Franklin County High School. For the last ten years or so I have been teaching a dual enrolled class in this subject through Virginia Western.
ReplyDeleteI am Michelle Diomedi. I graduated from Northside High in 1992. I will graduate from VWCC in May of this year. I attend VWCC full time as a night student and online student. I work full time at a local credit union.I will start Bluefield College in the fall. I am married with children. My son is almost 16, my daughter is 6, and I have two stepsons. One is 18 and one is 20. I went back to school to prove to my son how important an education is and to give myself secuirty in this eceonomic environment. I will graduate with a degree in Social Sciences.
ReplyDeleteI am Beth Harris. I graduated from Amherst County High School in 2007. I attended Hollins University for 3 semesters and Roanoke College for 1 semester. I am planning to get an Associates in science and transfer to William and Mary to pursue a B.S. in Biology. I then plan on attending medical school to be a neurosurgeon.
ReplyDeleteI'm Brandi. I am 17 and a senior at Glenvar High School, but instead of attending high school I am attending college full time. I will graduate from high school this year and will have already completed three semesters at Virginia Western. I like to work with my hands and love to build things so I am working towards becoming an architectural and mechanical engineer. I'm not really like most teenagers...infact I can really stand teenagers so that's why I am at college so early. So far it's been a really incredible experience.
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Aimee, I am a very busy mother of 4 beautiful children. 2 girls 2 boys ages 6,4,2,and 8 months. I also work full time as a waitress, I'm a 3/4 time student, I am taking RCIA classes to convert to Catholicism, and on top of all that I am trying to plan my wedding. I am pursuing a degree in environmental science with a specialty in natural resource and land management. I will receive my associates from western in 2011, from there I hope to transfer to Va. Tech and pursue a B.S.
ReplyDeleteI'm James Walter, I'm 18and i just graduated from Hidden Valley and this is my second semester at vwcc. I am majoring in wildlife. My interests are hanging out with friends and playing video games.
ReplyDeleteI am Caitlin Emry. I work full-time and have a son who is about to turn four. I am currently taking two classes at Virginia Western to transfer over to Mary Baldwin's Adult Degree Program where I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Social Work.
